The Temple

Good Friend

My friend Ford is here from Germany and we were able to spend the afternoon and evening together. BBQ Chicken, Ice Cream Sandwiches, Good Iced Tea and nice Nuevo sunset. Thank God for friends.

Ford oversees a bookstore for a seminary in Germany and is a wealth of information. We met at Westmont College as freshman in 1977. Our conversation ranged from reminiscing, to NT Wright, to Wayne Grudem, Calvinism, Paradigm shifts, Church growth and life, to Christian Booksellers and the Evangelical Theological Society and how they handled Robert Gundry and Open Theists.

I don’t think I have ever met a more kind and considerate human being than Ford. Ford reminds me that I need to be a good human.

  2. Oh gag, Ford isn’t THAT good a person. But you do need to be a better one, at least I agree with that much. ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Roy, allow me to have a sappy moment…ok you helped me to get over it, but…

You know I am right, remember how long we left that last cookie on the plate to see if he would ever take it…did you ever open the door for him??? I could go on and on.

  5. Leaving the last cookie on the plate is not necessarily a sign of intelligence.
